I ordered the Innova Kitchen Basics Stainless Steel 12-Inch fry pan but was sent the Kinetic Kitchen Basics 11 inch fry pan, so I sent it back. Later, I ordered the Innova Fry Pan again and again I got the 11 inch Kinetic fry pan!

"A cooks review" 2008-11-10
By Roben M. Grillo (El Jebel, Colorado)
The pan has worked well, as I expected. Next time I need to replace a pan I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of this brand. I cook as a hobby and as part of my job so I learn which cookware works best for me and this pan has functioned well.

"Finish was sketchy" 2008-03-18

The finish on the pan was not applied evenly and it looked already worn in some areas. I sent mine back.

Although this pan is Stainless Steel, the handle is not riveted. I can't comment on longevity just yet.

"Winware Stainless 9.5 Inch Fry Pan" 2010-08-27
By Doc J
Good Quality pan.I bought this pan in summer 2010, in spite of an earlier review. Maybe the product changed since previous review, but I find the current item to be of good construction. It's solidly made, and appears to use the high-quality stainless specified (18/10 grade - top notch material). Perfectly acceptable for home use, low price.

"Additional information on this fry pan" 2008-07-17
By Kathlyn Storey (Rancho Murieta, CA)
I'm picky about my pans, but unfortunately bought this product without fully researching it, which I have now done after the fact. Before getting into that, Amazon originally listed this item in the shipping section as 20 pounds. I knew that had to be a mistake. They subsequently corrected this, and now that I have the pan, it actually weighs around one pound. My husband thought it was of a good weight for cooking; I think it's a little lighter than it should be. It's also listed as an 8 inch pan, but be aware that your existing 8 inch lids won't fit it correctly; I know because I had three different lids and thought that one of them would surely fit, but none of them do.If you want to research this Winco (not "Winware" as Amazon has it listed) product or any others in this line, here is the web information: www.wincodwl.com I provide this because "Winware" is the wrong name (the label on the pan says Winco), and this pan doesn't come up easily on a Google search; you have to look for it. The company's toll free number is: 1-888-946-2682. The Winco product number, which you will need (not provided by Amazon) is SSFP-8. I would strongly encourage you to fully research any Winco products before you buy them. The two major things I was looking for was the gauge of the stainless steel and whether this pan would go in the dishwasher. This information is not provided either on the Amazon page or on the product label, so I was hopeful for good news, but it wasn't. Most high quality pans are a level of 18 gauge stainless steel, preferably 18/10. This pan is 20 gauge. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the steel, meaning that this pan is thinner than most quality cookware. The customer service representative did say that this pan uses induction heat, if that is important to you. I did give it the acid test, making scrambled eggs with cream cheese, and it worked okay and cleaned up well. Also, this pan will tolerate the dishwasher. From an appearance standpoint, this is a cheap looking pan. It's made in China, and it shows. The handle is riveted on, and I'm wondering whether it with stand up to normal use. I will revisit this review after I have used it for several months, but my initial outlook is pessimistic. Amazon currently has this pan on sale for $14.88. If I had this to do over, I wouldn't buy the pan at all, but having it, I think it's worth about $10 given the gauge of the steel and that conventional 8 inch lids will not fit it.

"Love the LTD2 line" 2010-04-21
By Cathy
I got this as a Warehouse deal from Amazon and didn't really notice any defects with it. The nonstick surface is great - it's a bit rougher texture than my old Calphalon pans. Not sure how that helps performance, but it's definitely effective. Love the long handle. This is a heavy duty pan.

"Are you agonizing over 14" AC LTD2 Fry Pan versus AC 13" French Skillet Pan?" 2009-09-02
By D. Henderson (Baltimore, MD)
When I need to cook large breakfasts, this is the pan I use. I have the 14" LTD2 fry pan in the non-stick version which has the same handle as the Copper Core line which is longer and wider which in my opinion gives better comfort and control for this largest of All Clad's fry pan.I originally decided to buy an All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch French Skillet over this All Clad 14" fry pan since both pan bottoms are the same diameter (same amount of cooking surface). But the French skillet's pan top has a smaller diameter than the 14" fry pan due to the steeper slope. When I need to cover the French skillet when cooking, I can use the lid from my All Clad 6 quart sauté pan. There is no All Clad lid I know that I can cover the 14" fry pan, not even if you buy it separately. But, as another person noticed, the 13" French skillet has a noticeable high pan center that I first noticed when frying eggs on it (the eggs kept sliding away from the center of the pan). You may not care if you cook omelets but then the pan's utility is limited. The LTD2 14" fry pan is about one pound heavier than the All Clad 13" French skillet (4.11 lbs versus 3.1 lbs). Both pans heat up equally fast and evenly on my gas range.

This is my first All Clad LTD2 piece (I have a 12" fry pan and 1 quart sauce pan in the original LTD). I noticed that the anodized finish of the original LTD series is not very hard and wears away quite easily when compared with the original Calphalon anodized aluminum finish. Only time will tell how well the newer hard anodized finish will last.

PROS:

The 14" fry pan bottom is level so it can allow for frying eggs when compared with the 13" French skillet (which has a noticeable raised pan center).Has the longer and wider Copper Core style handle which provides better control when compared with the same pan in Stainless or original LTD.

CONS: No lid available for the 14" fry pan if you want to steam or braise.

"Made In China" 2009-11-06

This item is "Made in China". It is "Winware-USA" not "Made In USA". IMHO the product presentation is misleading in this respect. Pricey for a Chinese made stainless fry pan.

"I've fallen in love with All Clad!" 2010-03-22
By Phyllis Towns
This is my first All Clad purchase & it won't be my last. The pans are everything they are said to be; a joy to cook with. The weight of the pans & the position of the handle gives me the feel of using a finely designed tool. Cooking omelets are such a pleasure in the non stick pan that I'm sure I am eating more eggs! Clean up is a breeze, a quick swipe with a soapy sponge is all that is needed. My only complaint is that the steel skillet came with a nick along the edge. It doesn't affect performance at all but is noticeable. I'm guessing that is why the great sale price. All in all this product still deserves 5 stars in my opinion.

"Is there ever a bad all clad?" 2010-02-17
By An Educated Consumer (Floral Park, NY)
No....these pans perform as well as all of all clad's products. While I don't expect the non stick to last forever, as no non stick has been able to withstand the test of long periods of time, these little pans will be used again and again.

"Great Pans!" 2009-12-01

I'm an All Clad fan, and these were no exception. I use the omellet one the most, and it is great and easy to clean. Great deal for the price!

"perfect breakfast skillets" 2009-11-17

The non-stick 7.5 inch pan is great for eggs & the stainless steel 9 inch works great for sausage. These are my first All Clad pans, so far so good.

Keilen China Village Natural Carbon-Steel 12-Inch Stir-Fry Pan

Product By Columbian Home Products
Lowest Price : $24.04
Product Description
Stir Frying lets you cook meats, fish, vegetables and poultry over high heat, using small amounts of cooking oil. As a result, it is a healthier way to eat and you can prepare a whole meal in no time. Vegetables stay crisp and crunchy and meats, poultry and seafood are tender and juicy. Heavy weight traditional natural finish carbon steel does require seasoning. 12-Inch diameter. Flat bottom type for all range types including induction.

Amazon.com Review

A great all-purpose tool for daily cooking, the stir-fry pan is perfectly at home in amateur and serious kitchens alike. This roomy 12-inch version from Keilen's China Village collection combines several elements to give it star-power performance. Crafted from professional-weight carbon steel, the pan offers fast, even heating and superior temperature retention so it responds well to changes made during cooking. This is particularly helpful with high-heat Asian-style dishes, where the chef needs to perfectly brown delicate onions and thoroughly cook meat all in one dish. Generously curved in a wide bowl shape, the pan also maximizes available space so all food gets equal surface time. The flat-bottom is suitable for any range type, and the stay-cool riveted stick handle is made of handsome dark wood. A metal end ring allows for hanging on a pot rack nearby-a nice convenience since this pan is likely to be in high rotation. One care note: The traditional uncoated finish does need seasoning prior to use, but then provides a lifetime of natural nonstick service with little maintenance needed. --Kara Karll

"great pan" 2010-10-03
By J Tria (Windsor Locks, Ct United States)
This is a review on the Cucina pro 1454, which is the 16" model. This pan is fantastic. I threw away my last pan, immediately after i took out the last piece of fried squash. I was so pissed i didn't even let the thing cool down. I decided i wanted a quality pan, no teflon finish. I wanted something in stainless and i wanted it to be large. the 16" model is really big. REALLY. But, It sure does hold a lot of stuff. the one thing i immediately noticed was the evenness of the heat distribution. It works very well. Another thing i really like about it is that you are not tied to the stove. I like to make fried Italian peppers, but my wife can not stand the smell, so i take it outside. Cover a large piece of plywood with a plastic cover and cook away. Any splatters are quickly wiped away and no mess on the stove. It does chicken great and with room to spare. What amazed me was when i finished the peppers there were a lot of burnt pieces stuck to the bottom of the pan. i just took about 8 0z of hot water with a little soap mixed in and put in in the pan and let it boil. As it was boiling i took a flat wooden spoon and scraped the bottom. Perfect. Came up with no trouble. I also liked the fact that you can use a brillo pad to clean it with also. Yeah, its ok, i checked with the company. You just can't put submerge it in water and use steel pads because they go into the plug outlet and the pieces of steel could cause a short. If you want a good pan that cooks a large amount of food efficiently and with good heat distribution then this is the pan for you.

"This Cucina Pro pan is not worth the price you pay for it" 2010-08-17
By momma1
First purchased the larger electric skillet which started to smoke up the kitchen when I was seasoning it. Returned it for the smaller one (same price!!) and have found the 12 inch skillet's handles are too small for either my husband or I to use and the metal is so thin around the top edge, you can get sliced by it. When I have to replace this Cucina product, I will definately go with another brand.

"OK but...." 2010-08-02
By Joe Schmoe
The edges are not rolled over, they are sharp. The handles are very small and the controller is placed directly under one handle making it hard to see when adjusting the temperature. The one we received had the round lathe like machine marks on the bottom so it was not a smooth surface. It will work but I think it is overpriced for what you get.

"Do not like non-stick cookery" 2010-05-17
By Cebreauky
I have not actually used CucinaPro 1453 Stainless Steel Electric Skillet, since I was sent the wrong skillet.I received the CucinaPro 1653, which is a non-stick skillet. I plan to send it back and when and if (a big if here) I receive the correct skillet I will use it and write a review. In appearance, the Skillet looks very nice and I do like the non-skid feet. Other than that, I can not say good or bad about it.

"Better than no-stick" 2010-05-02
By SunnySideUp

I'm very pleased with this skillet after 3 uses, even though I hated paying the price.

I paid it because I thought I deserved a really nice skillet, once in my life. I'm 71.

First, I seasoned it by frying bacon in it. Then, I wiped it out with paper towels.

I've cooked in it twice since then. Very little sticking, and easy to clean.

I never liked non-stick coatings, so I gave away my cheapie, non-stick-coated skillet.

If all you've had is cheapie skillets, try this one! You'll like it...but season it first.
